In the world of Baltimore Album quilts, no one reigns more supreme than Elly Sienkiewicz. Her name is synonymous with Baltimore Album Quilts. In 1983, Elly published Spoken Without a Word. It was the first pattern book based on 19th century Baltimore Album quilts. This publication started a new phenomenon which has spread world wide. Since that time, she has written 24 books and over 50 articles on the subject. She has taught the art of applique to countless quilters from around the globe. Her passion and enthusiasm for the art is infectious.
Elly’s quilts will be on display in the Forrest Room at the Marion Public Library, 9:00am – 3:00pm July 20 – 22, 2023
Elly and Ronda McAllen will give two gallery talks July 20, 11:00am – 12:00pm and July 21, 3:30pm – 4:30pm. Admission is free.
