Jocelyn was a home economics teacher many years ago. After the births of two daughters she began teaching adult education classes in clothing construction- even made bras! But now she loves to teach many aspects of quilting to all of those nice quilters she meets everywhere.
Jocelyn says that paper piecing is fun and the finished project is usually just perfect!
Saturday July 22, 2017 1pm-4pm. Join Jocelyn to make a paper pieced Feathered Star. This normally complicated traditional pattern is simplified by the use of Cindi Edgerton's Feathered Star Pattern. The star finishes at 15" x 15" and the completed wall hanging finishes at 35" x 35". Class Kit: $7.00, includes the pattern. Kit fee will be payable in class.
Three colors of fabric are required for this project, a light value, medium value and dark value. Definite value contrast is required for the star to show up well. Fabric amounts are needed as follows:
- 1 yard light
- 1/2 yard medium
- 1/4 yard dark
Also the following tools and supplies will be needed:
- sewing machine
- thread to match fabric
- rotary cutter and mat
- fabric scissors and paper scissors
